HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A man accused of stabbing another man during an argument north of Holland in January has accepted a plea agreement.
On Monday, Shaun Kleinjans pleaded guilty to attempted assault with a dangerous weapon.
In exchange, authorities dismissed a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder as a fourth-time habitual offender.
Authorities say Kleinjans stabbed a man in the abdomen after a disagreement about property.
It happened at a home on Butternut Drive north of James Street in Holland Township.
The victim went to the hospital but was later released.
Kleinjans is scheduled to be sentenced in June.
