HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A fire damaged a home in Holland Sunday morning.

Shortly before 10:45 a.m., firefighters were called to the fire at a home in the 400 block of College Avenue, between E. 16th and 17th streets.

When crews arrived at the scene, the fire had spread mostly through the back of the house. Black smoke and flames could be seen from the street.

Residents of the home evacuated and firefighters were able to extinguish the fire after about an hour of battling the blaze.

Crews at the scene tell News 8 they believe no one was injured in the fire.
