Deputies search for suspect in road rage-related shooting

POLKTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a driver who shot at a vehicle during a road rage incident in Ottawa County Wednesday.

The victim told the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office a vehicle was tailgating him while on eastbound I-96. After he exited onto southbound 68th Avenue near Coopersville, there was a confrontation just south of the exit ramp.

As the victim was driving away, the suspect fired two shots at the back of his vehicle. There were no injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect was last seen driving a new dark-colored pick-up truck on northbound 68th Avenue. He is described as around 6-foot-4 with a stocky build, dark mustache and goatee.
