HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Some workers at Haworth in Holland got a surprise visitor Tuesday when a six-point buck dashed into the plant.
Christopher Visser tells 24 Hour News 8 the buck ran in through a door opened for a UPS delivery around 11:15 a.m.
Visser said the buck ran through a tunnel into another plant where it approached an employee on a computer. The deer got caught up in computer wires for a couple minutes as it tried to make its way under a table, according to Visser. He said at that point, several people corralled it out another door into the parking lot.
Haworth Public Relations Manager Julie Smith confirmed the incident, calling it “unusual.” She said the deer didn’t appear to be hurt.
She says despite speculation from workers, the company does not believe the deer made off with any computer equipment.
