HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been charged for allegedly stabbing another man during an argument north of Holland earlier this week.

Shaun Kleinjans was arraigned Friday on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder as a fourth-time habitual offender.

The stabbing happened Wednesday evening at a home on Butternut Drive north of James Street in Holland Township. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Kleinjans and the victim had a disagreement over property, which led to the assault.

The victim, a 46-year-old Holland man whose name hasn’t been released, sustained a single stab wound to the abdomen. He has since been released from the hospital.

Kleinjans, 23, of Holland Township, was taken into police custody shortly after the incident.

On Friday, his bond was set at $250,000.
