ATF investigating gun thefts from Coopersville shop

COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) — The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is working with federal authorities to track down the people who robbed a Coopersville gun shop.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday at the Palladium Gun Shop, located 157 Eastmanville Street near Main Street.

The sheriff’s office says a K9 officer tracked the robbers a short distance before losing their scent where investigators believe they got into a vehicle and drove off.

The thieves got away with an undetermined number of guns.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is working with the sheriff’s office to investigate the incident and identify suspects.
