JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Four fire departments were called into battle a blaze at a small warehouse west of Hudsonville Friday night.
The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. Friday on 48th Avenue near Chicago Drive in Jamestown Township. Ottawa County dispatchers identified the business to News 8 as Gerstenschlager Contracting.
The fire departments from Jamestown, Georgetown and Zeeland townships and the city of Hudsonville all responded, dispatchers said.
Images taken by News 8 crews at the scene show orange flames and smoke rising as crews dumped water from above onto the destroyed structure. An excavator helped break up the rubble.
As of around 1 a.m. Saturday, firefighters were still dousing hot spots.
Crews on the scene said there was no one in the building when the fire sparked and there were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
