GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were hospitalized after a crash in Jenison late Monday afternoon.

It happened around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of Cottonwood Drive and Baldwin Street in Georgetown Township.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says a northbound driver failed to stop for a red light and hit another car that was turning left in the intersection.

The driver of the northbound SUV, an 89-year-old Jenison woman, was taken to the hospital and later listed in stable condition.

The driver of the car, a 54-year-old Jenison man, wasn’t hurt, but the 53-year-old woman in the front seat was injured. She was later listed in good condition at the hospital.

Authorities said Monday evening that the crash remained under investigation.
