GRAND HAVEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — One person was killed and another was hurt in a Sunday morning rollover crash in Grand Haven Township.
Just before 8 a.m., deputies with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the area of Ferris Street and 152nd Avenue for a crash.
Responding deputies learned that an eastbound Chevrolet Cobalt, driven by an 80-year-old Grand Haven woman, didn’t stop at the stop sign. The car crashed into a southbound Ford F-150, driven by a 74-year-old Grand Haven man. The crash caused the car to roll over on the shoulder of the road.
The sheriff’s office said the Grand Haven woman died.
The Grand Haven man was taken to the hospital. The sheriff’s office said his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The intersection was closed while crews investigated. It has since reopened.
The crash remains under investigation.
