GRANT, Mich. (WOOD) — The city of Grant has lifted its request for residents to conserve water after electrical issues at the city’s well house were fixed.
The issue started Friday morning around 4 a.m. when a transfer switch between the utility feed and the diesel generator malfunctioned causing damages, the city said.
At 8:30 a.m., the city requested that residents conserve water because the water tower contains a limited water supply while crews worked to replace system components, the Newaygo County Emergency Services said.
The request was lifted shortly around 11 a.m.
The city said adequate water pressure was maintained throughout the morning so no boil water advisory will be issued.
