Police: Suspect hits parked car amid chase

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Muskegon Heights police are looking for the suspect who fled officers and then caused a crash in Muskegon Sunday night.

The wreck happened near the intersection of E. Holbrook Avenue and Terrace Street, just north of the border with Muskegon Heights.

Muskegon Heights Police Chief Joseph Thomas told 24 Hour News 8 that his officers were chasing the car because it was believed to be have been involved in some sort of drug situation.

The suspect’s car then hit a parked car. Images from the scene show a yellow sedan with a mangled front end.

The suspect took off after the crash, the chief said.

Thomas didn’t immediately know if anyone was hurt in the crash or how seriously.

Muskegon police assisted in the investigation after the crash.
