MONTAGUE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Muskegon County deputies are seeking tips leading to a driver who hit another vehicle, then ran from the scene.
The crash happened around 5:45 a.m. on Dec. 13 on southbound US-31 near the Fruitvale Road exit in Montague Township, about 18 miles north of Muskegon.
Deputies believe Liborio Cortes Pineda was behind the wheel of the vehicle that crashed into the back of another vehicle. The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to roll off the highway.

Deputies believe Pineda is staying in the Rothbury or New Era area of Oceana County. He may have been injured from the crash.
Detectives want to speak to him about the crash. Anyone with information in this case is encouraged to contact Detective Sgt. Tom Johnson at 231.724.6658 or Muskegon County Silent Observer at 231.722.7463.
