BLUE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is dead after his car hit a tree in Muskegon County.

The sheriff’s department says the crash happened just before 10 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of West Holton-Whitehall Road in Blue Lake Township, east of Whitehall.

Investigators say 29-year-old Adam Tabor was traveling west on W. Holton-Whitehall Road when his 1998 Ford Taurus crossed he center line and veered off the road, hitting a tree.

Tabor was pinned in the wreckage following the crash. He died at the scene.

The Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
