CARSON CITY, Mich. (WOOD) — A lockdown at the Carson City-Crystal Area School District has been lifted, the superintendent says.
The lockdown started after a bus driver noticed a suspicious person near a school Wednesday morning.
Superintendent Kevin Murphy told 24 Hour News 8 the district lifted its lockdown around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Murphy earlier said there was no direct threat to the school, and the lockdown was ordered as a precaution.
The suspicious person may be tied to a crime that happened overnight in the area. Murphy did not have additional information regarding the crime.
