HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Supporters of President Donald Trump celebrated his birthday Saturday with a parade of boats in Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River in southeastern Michigan.

The procession began in Macomb County, a key county that Trump won in 2016, and moved southwest toward downtown Detroit and the Ambassador Bridge, which links Detroit to Canada.

Many boats had pro-Trump flags and U.S. flags. Trump turns 74 Sunday.

“We love our president. We believe he’s taking the country in the right direction,” said Matt Seely of the Michigan Conservative Coalition.

Seely told WWJ radio that the boats would return to Macomb County where a Marilyn Monroe impersonator would sing “Happy Birthday.”
