GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Thousands of Consumers Energy customers across West Michigan are without power Monday morning after a weekend winter storm.
As of around 12 p.m. Monday, 6,407 customers across Michigan were without power, according to the Consumers Energy outage map.
The following West Michigan counties had at least 100 customers without power:
- Muskegon County: 4,407 customers
- Newaygo County: 334 customers
- Oceana County: 453 customers
- Ottawa County: 888 customers
The utility company reminded people to stay away from downed power lines. If you see one, call 911 and then Consumers at 800.477.5050. Drivers are also reminded to be alert to Consumers crews working along roads.
