PENTWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — Pentwater police are releasing a surveillance image of a man they believe vandalized vehicles in the downtown area and damaged Pentwater Public School.

Reports of the crimes started filtering in around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say someone who lives near the corner of Lowell Street and North Hancock Street first reported the driver’s side window to their pickup truck had been broken.

About 40 minutes later, police took another repot of a broken driver’s side window in the 600 block of North Wythe Street.

It all culminated around 8:45 a.m., when Pentwater Public Schools reported several of their windows were shattered by BB gunfire.

In a Facebook post, Pentwater Public School administrators said the school doors were also damaged.

The school and police identified a suspect captured on school security cameras. Police believe he’s driving a dark-colored Ford Escape.

Anyone with information leading to the suspect is asked to contact the Pentwater Police Department by calling Mason Oceana Central Dispatch at 231.869.5858.
