FRANKENMUTH, Mich. (WOOD) — Christmas has come twice to Frankenmuth, all in the name of movie-making.

Flint NBC affiliate WEYI reports the National Film Product Company asked Michigan’s Little Bavaria to bring back its holiday décor for a film shoot.

While the production company is remaining mum, Cherry Republic manager Dani Strich shared some details with WEYI.

“The male lead in the film is a star,” she said. “He’s in a TV series right now so that’s kind of cool.”

“It’s a family-themed holiday production,” said Strich. “It’s going to be televised probably around the Christmas season. We don’t know the channel. We don’t know much about the plot but we do know it’s going to be a fantastic love story which everyone enjoys around that time of year.”

WEYI reports the National Film Production Company reached out to Frankenmuth River Place Shops to pitch the film shoot a few weeks ago.
