Man admits to meth in car outside courthouse

HART, Mich. (WOOD) — A man faces sentencing after police found methamphetamine in his car parked outside a courthouse, according to 9&10 News.

Last fall, Daniel Samson-Phillips went to a courthouse in Oceana County for a hearing on a charge of failure to appear in court. Samson-Phillips was arrested after the hearing, and police impounded his car that was at the courthouse parking lot. Authorities then found 14 grams of meth in the vehicle, 9&10 News reports.

Samson-Phillips has admitted to possessing the drug and being a repeat offender. He is scheduled to be sentenced June 3, according to 9&10 News.
