GR man dead after farming accident in Oceana Co.

BENONA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids man was killed in a farming accident in Oceana County Monday. 

It happened around 7 p.m. Monday at a farm in the 4600 block of 44th Avenue near Pike Road in Benona Township, west of New Era.

The Oceana County Sheriff’s Office said a 64-year-old man was using an older tractor on a family member’s farm when it flipped over.

The man, identified by the sheriff’s office as Gary Mills of Grand Rapids, was pronounced dead at the scene.
