ROTHBURY, Mich. (WOOD) — The popular Electric Forest Festival is scaling back its lineup.
Next summer, the music festival in Rothbury will be held for only one weekend, rather than two.
Organizers posted on Facebook Thursday that the Electric Forest grounds are undergoing upgrades and there’s a new multiyear conservation plan for Sherwood Forest.
They said that “with conservation and longevity in mind,” Electric Forest 2019 would be run from June 27 to June 30.
Over the course of the 2018 event, more than two dozen people were arrested for charges that ranged from drugs to theft to assault. One person, Hunter Lurie, died after going into cardiac arrest during a concert.
