COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — The Branch County Prosecutor is resigning from his office after improper conduct charges were brought against him.
Ralph Kimble is resigning, effective Jan. 1, after reaching an agreement with the Michigan Bar over the charges.
Kimble will plead no contest to charge connected to him improperly touching a female court administrator in an elevator and making improper sexual comments to a secretary. The agreement will give Kimble a six-month suspension and the bar will not oppose his application for reinstatement.
The charges stem from an investigation into his conduct started last year by four Branch County judges who took testimony from employees after several women filed complaints detailing multiple instances of sexual harassment in their workplace.
Findings were sent to Michigan State Police and passed on to the Attorney General’s office.
