ELLSWORTH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Michigan State Police are renewing their push for tips in the case of a woman found dead in her burned Lake County home.

Thursday marked one year since the homicide of Evelyn Louise Ware. She was found dead in the rubble of her home located at 1487 Lakola Drive in Ellsworth Township, about 25 miles northwest of Big Rapids.

So far, no one has been arrested in the case.

Michigan State Police say a $5,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to Ware’s killer. They stressed Friday that information doesn’t need to be firsthand knowledge — any tips are welcome and could be the key to solving the case.

Anyone with information in Ware’s death is encouraged to contact MSP at 989.773.5951 or Silent Observer at 231.779.9215 or 1.800.528.8234.
