BARRYTON, Mich. (WOOD) — A man now faces charges for robbing a store in the northeastern Mecosta County village of Barryton.
Shane Hunt, 23, of Barryton was formally charged Tuesday with breaking and entering of a building, safe breaking and larceny in a building.
The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office says Hunt broke into the Hometown Grocery and Riverside Gas Station in the early hours Aug. 29. Authorities say he stole cash and other things, and also tried to break into the ATM in the store. The robber was caught on the store’s surveillance cameras.
Hunt is being held at the Mecosta County Jail on $500,000 bond.
