ALBION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Calhoun County authorities say the woman who caused a rollover crash north of Albion Monday night had been drinking.
The wreck happened shortly before midnight on Anderson Road near 26 1/2 Mile Road in Albion Township.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said the westbound driver lost control and her SUV left the road, hit a parked vehicle in a driveway and rolled over. The parked vehicle was shoved back into the home.
The driver of the car, a 43-year-old Springport woman, took off. She was later taken by private vehicle to a hospital in Eaton Rapids, then transferred to a Lansing hospital with injuries that authorities say were critical but not life-threatening.
The sheriff’s office said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash.
