RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Tests have found PFAS in drinking wells in several homes near a plastic production plant in Kalamazoo County.
The testing took place along 34th Street near the former Production Plated Plastics site.
Residents with PFAS levels with detections above the EPA’s lifetime health advisory level have been provided alternative water while more testing takes place.
A public meeting will be held to address residents’ concerns starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Living Hope Community Church, located at 9292 East CD Ave. in Richland Township. Anyone who lives in the area is encouraged to attend.
