Police seek attacker after woman stabbed in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo officers are looking for the person who stabbed a woman and ran.

Police say around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, they were called to the 500 block of West Cedar Street in Kalamazoo. There, they found a 34-year-old Kalamazoo woman with a stab wound to her side.

Officers treated the woman, who was eventually taken to the hospital. She is expected to survive.

Investigators have determined an argument between the victim and the male suspect sparked the stabbing. Authorities say the woman knew the suspect

A police K-9 team tried to track the suspect, to no avail.

Officers have not released a description of the attacker.
