ALAMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A driver is in custody after a hit-and-run crash on US-131 in Kalamazoo County early Thursday morning.
It happened around 1:45 a.m. on southbound US-131 near B Avenue in Alamo Township, north of Kalamazoo.
Michigan State Police said a vehicle struck another vehicle from behind, causing the at-fault vehicle to hit the guardrail and roll over. The at-fault driver ran away from the scene, but was found nearby.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment. The two people inside the other vehicle were not injured.
MSP said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
