CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The search for a man who never checked in at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center is over.
Kalamazoo County authorities say 62-year-old Lloyd Burton of Charleston Township was located in Battle Creek and has since returned home.
The search for Burton began after he failed to check in for treatment at the VA Medical Center. Investigators say loved ones hadn’t heard from Burton since.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office says the search for Burton began after a friend dropped him off at the VA for treatment, but he never checked in. No one had seen or heard from him.
Authorities said he may have dementia.
