PAVILLION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man has been charged with a shooting in a mobile home park southeast of Kalamazoo Monday night that left one person injured.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 6700 block of Picadilly Street in Pavillion Estates in Pavillion Township. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office said responding deputies found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspect was found in the area but then went into one of the mobile homes. The Metro SWAT Team was called to help apprehend the suspect, who was arrested without incident. He was taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail.

The suspect, identified Wednesday as Danyelle Phillips, was charged with assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder and possession of a stolen firearm.

Authorities have not specified what led up to the shooting, which remains under investigation.
