Man arrested after fleeing scene of crash in Kzoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a crash early Saturday morning.

Police were called to a two-car crash around 12:45 a.m. at W Kalamazoo Avenue and N Park Street in Kalamazoo.

The driver of a red Dodge Magnum ran through a red light on N Park, crashing into another vehicle. The other driver wasn’t injured in the collision.

A witness told authorities that the driver of the Dodge Magnum drove away before authorities arrived.

The suspect driver was found a few blocks away, where he was arrested after being treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash. He is facing several charges, including leaving the scene of a crash and possession to deliver crack cocaine.
