KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Police say two people were cut with a box cutter at Bronson Park in Kalamazoo.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said the incident happened around 12 a.m. Friday. It started when people at a camp in downtown’s Bronson Park began arguing and fighting. It’s unknown if all of those involved are protesters.

Two people were cut with a box cutter. Both received non-life-threatening injuries — one was treated on scene and other was taken to the hospital, police said.

The suspect was arrested for felonious assault.

Protesters have set up camp in downtown’s Bronson Park to protest park rules and spotlight the issue of homelessness.
