KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a 50-year-old man who has been missing for several days.

Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were called April 2 to the 1300 block of March Street after Marvin Fitzgerald Young was reported missing, according to a press release.

Authorities say Young was last seen dropping off his daughter at work around 7 a.m. April 2.  Young hasn’t shown up to work or called either of his two employers, a release said.

In addition, police say Young didn’t show up for a court date, which they say is highly uncharacteristic of him.

Young is 6-foot, 165 pounds and bald. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black hat, the release stated.

Young drives a 2001 Gray Chevy Impala that’s registered under the Michigan license plate EAM8064.  The vehicle has a U-shaped crack in the front windshield, according to a press release.

Authorities say there have been several attempts to call Young, but none have been answered. As of April 3, his phone has been powered off, a release noted.

Young has bipolar disorder and his medication is at home, the press release noted.

Anyone with information is asked to call KDPS at 269.337.8139 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
