Gunshot victim shows up at Kzoo hospital

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities in Kalamazoo are investigating after a man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said officers were called to the 2200 block of Flower Street, near Portage Street in the city’s Edison neighborhood, for reports of shots fired.

A short time later, a 24-year-old Kalamazoo man showed up at the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to a KDPS news release.

Investigators determined the victim was inside a vehicle when it was struck by gunfire with at least one bullet hitting the victim, the release said.

No arrests have been made in the case.
