COOPER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Department is asking drivers to watch out for a small herd of cattle that escaped a farm near Kalamazoo.

It’s unclear how the cattle escaped from the Cooper Township farm. The sheriff’s office says they are “feeder cows” with very limited interaction with people, so they should not be approached.

Kalamazoo County Animal Services is involved in the search. Anyone who spots the animals is encouraged to call 911 or Kalamazoo County Central Dispatch at 269.488.8911.
