BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — It will be 50 years before a man accused of involvement in a child pornography ring will be eligible for parole from prison.

In a Battle Creek courtroom Monday, Matthew Toole was sentenced to two consecutive terms of 25 to 70 years each. He received credit for about 220 days served.

Toole pleaded no contest Jan. 28 to two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim under the age of 13.

Authorities say he and his girlfriend Talia Furman, both 33, were involved in a child porn ring. They were also among four people accused of planning to kidnap and kill a child in Branch County, though no kidnapping actually happened in that case.

Furman pleaded no contest to sexually assaulting an infant girl earlier this month and is scheduled to be sentenced April 29.
