KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A boil water advisory that was issued for one Kalamazoo neighborhood after a water main break was lifted Tuesday.

The advisory was issued Sunday for the areas of Egleston Avenue, Clinton Avenue and Terrace Court between Reed Court and Bank Street, and around the intersection of E. Stockbridge Avenue and Reed Court.

Water main breaks cause a drop in water pressure that can allow bacteria to enter the system, which is why the advisory was issued as a precaution. Testing later confirmed the water was safe.
