BCPD: Driver shoots other car with shotgun

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police are looking for the driver who opened fire on another vehicle Monday.

It happened around 5:20 p.m. Monday along Capital Avenue NE east of East Avenue.

The Battle Creek Police Department says the victim was being followed by an SUV. As the victim turned into a parking lot, the driver of the SUV fired a shotgun out of the passenger’s side window.

No one was hurt, but the victim’s car was damaged.

The SUV was described as an early 2000s tan Chevrolet Suburban. The driver was described as a white man in his 30s with light brown hair and a scruffy beard. He was with a white female.

Police say they haven’t yet determined the motive.
