BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Three men were shot and wounded at a party in Battle Creek Saturday night.

It happened around 10 p.m. on E. Roosevelt Avenue near E. Goodale Avenue. The Battle Creek Police Department says that between 50 and 75 people were at a party there when gunfire broke out. Police say there were at least two shooters and that they may have been shooting at each other.

The three Battle Creek men who were shot were hospitalized. A 22-year-old was listed in critical condition early Sunday and the other two, both 24, were in stable condition.

Police say none of the men were able to say who shot them. No one else at the party who talked to investigators were able to provide names or descriptions of the shooters.

Most of the partygoers took off before officers arrived, police said. They’re asking anyone who was there who hasn’t talked to them to call BCPD at 269.966.3322 or Silent Observer at 269.964.3888.
