NEWTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Calhoun County authorities say they have arrested two men responsible for recent break-ins south of Battle Creek.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said Trever Cohoon was arrested around 1 p.m. Thursday without incident.

Authorities said Wednesday that William Paul Jones had already been charged in the case.

Both are suspected of committing of home invasions two weeks ago in the Binder Park Hills subdivision in Newton Township. Authorities say that between 11 p.m. July 31 and 6 a.m. Aug. 1, the thieves got into homes though garage doors. They took wallets, purses and money. Authorities say people were in the homes at the time.

Cohoon and Jones are also as well suspects in other thefts in the Battle Creek area.
