1 injured in Battle Creek shooting

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — The Battle Creek Police Department is investigating after a man was injured in a shooting early Saturday. 

Officers responded to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital around 1:49 a.m. for reports of a shooting victim.

Authorities say the 23-year-old Battle Creek man is not cooperating with police, but was dropped off by an unknown subject.

The 23-year-old is in stable condition and was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Officers did find a possible scene of the shooting in the area of Eldred Street and SW Capital Avenue.

Authorities say there is no suspect or witness information at this time.
