Wilson Avenue in Walker reopens after house fire

WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — Both directions of Wilson Avenue in Walker have reopened after authorities shut down the roadway so crews could fight a house fire. 

The northbound and southbound lanes between Richmond Street and Remembrance Road were closed for about 2.5 hours Wednesday as authorities worked to put out a house fire in the 2200 block of Wilson Avenue.

Dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 there were no reports of injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
