WB I-96 reopens after crash near Lowell

LOWELL TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Westbound I-96 near Lowell is back open after a crash slowed and stopped traffic for nearly two hours. 

The crash happened shortly before 11:45 a.m. Tuesday on the highway near Alden Nash Avenue/M-50 in Lowell Township.

All lanes of westbound I-96 were closed for nearly 30 minutes before the right lane reopened.

It’s unclear what led to the crash or if there are any injuries.
