WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities have reopened two lanes of 3 Mile Road in Walker after it was shut down on Thursday.

The road was closed between Fruit Ridge and Kinney avenues after a sewer line broke Wednesday night, flooding the entire roadway.

A city official said there will be pavement placed Friday night, and traffic control and signal adjustments are scheduled for early Saturday morning.

As a result of the sewage leak, the Ottawa County Department of Public Health issued a no body contact advisory for Sand Creek in Tallmadge and Wright townships.
