Train stalled on track stops traffic in Wyoming

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Traffic backed up on 36th Street SW in Wyoming Wednesday after a train stalled on the tracks.

Kent County dispatchers told 24 Hour News 8 the train came to a stop on the tracks on 36th Street east of Clay Avenue SW shortly after 5 p.m.

Dispatchers say the train was having mechanical issues and its engineers were unable to move it.

The train is owned by Grand Elk Railroad, based in Kalamazoo.
