COMSTOCK PARK, Mich. (WOOD) — You can probably think of a lot of things you could buy with $10,000, but maybe you didn’t know that that amount of cash could grab you a one-of-a-kind item.

“The Beatles have never allowed a pinball machine to be made before, so this is the first time that they have ever licensed a game,” said Doug Wildey, CEO of Game Room Guys. His store is one of two places in the state you can lay eyes on the game.

“We are the only folks in Michigan who have this so you can either see it here in Grand Rapids or at our store in Detroit,” Wildey said.

Stern Pinball manufactures the Beatles Mania pinball game, and they will only make 1,964 of them. That number is significant, as 1964 was the year the mop-haired Lads from Liverpool made their debut on the Ed Sullivan show.

“The prices have already gotten significantly high,” Wildey said of the rare item. “They just don’t allow it very often and they’re very protective of their rights.”

The gold model could cost around $10,000, but the platinum and diamond versions are expected to sell for thousands more. It could be the most expensive pinball machine ever.

Wildey says the design is simple, and in addition to being a unique collector’s item, The Beatles Mania Pinball Machine has a classic design form the 1960’s era that will have an old-school pinball player feeling right at home.

“I think it brings me back to that era of time that just lets us walk up and play it without having to try and figure it out,” Wildey said.
