Power restored to nearly 2,000 near Cedar Springs

CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — Nearly 2,000 people were without power near Cedar Springs Tuesday morning.

The outage was reported at 10:04 a.m., according to the Consumers Energy outage map. It was restored around 11:30 a.m.

A Consumers Energy spokesperson said the outage was caused when a third-party agency bumped wires, causing power lines to bunch together and disrupting the flow of energy.
