KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Developers are revealing some of the stores and a new restaurant coming to the renovated Woodland Mall.
PREIT says Black Rock Bar & Grill has signed a lease to open it first-to-market restaurant in which guests sear their own meat on hot volcanic granite at their tables.
The restaurant will be part of the mall’s “expansion wing,” which is slated to open in October 2019.
Developers say the expansion wing will also include the region’s first Urban Outfitters clothing store, as well as women’s fashion retailer, Altar’d State.
Construction is already underway on Von Maur, which will take over the 90,000 square-foot space once home to Sears. Developers say it will be the first Von Maur in the region; the only other Michigan stores on the company’s website are in Ann Arbor and Livonia.
The high-end department store is also expected to open in October 2019.
Recreational gear retailer REI will open its 20,000 square-foot store in May, according to developers.
PREIT says Woodland Mall recently welcomed Vans, Shoe Dept. Encore, J.Jill and Torrid. The developer says it’s also revamping stores for Apple, LUSH, Hollister and Victoria’s Secret.
