IHOP serves up free pancakes to help sick children

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Tuesday is National Pancake Day and IHOP is celebrating by serving up free ones to patrons.

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, diners who visit a participating IHOP can get a free Short Stack of buttermilk pancakes.

The deal is part of IHOP’s “Flip It Forward For Kids” campaign. The restaurant chain is asking visitors who enjoy the tasty deal to donate to charities helping children battling critical illnesses.

IHOP hopes to raise $4 million for its charity partners, which include Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

All eight West Michigan locations listed on IHOP’s website are participating in the free short stack deal:

  • Knapp’s Corner IHOP | 2071 E. Beltline Ave. NE | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Comstock Park IHOP | 3786 Alpine Ave. NW | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Cascade IHOP | 5039 28th Street SE | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Muskegon IHOP | 5220 Harvey St. | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Portage IHOP | 5325 S. Westnedge Ave, Portage | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Grandville IHOP | 4767 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Holland IHOP |3110 Beeline Rd, Holland, MI 49424 | Free short stack 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
