WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) — An electrical services company is adding a second location in Walker, bringing 100 high-tech jobs to the area.
The Right Place, Inc. says Feyen Zylstra plans to add a new facility to house its fastest-growing division.
The company is expected to invest $5.3 million in buying and renovating a building at 3085 Walkent Drive NW, just south of I-96 between Walker and Bristol avenues. The facility will serve as an industrial tech hub for Feyen Zylstra, housing automation engineers, software developers, coders and programmers.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation is giving Feyen Zylstra a $570,000 performance-based grant to support the project.
Feyen Zylstra CEO Nate Koetje says the expansion allows the company to grow and evolve with the changing industry.
Feyen Zylstra already employs nearly 700 workers at six locations nationwide, including Walker, Kalamazoo, Traverse City and Auburn Hills.
